EAPSTRA Deliverable 1
EAPSTRA Deliverable 1 is an extensive document covering technologies directly allied to the EAPSTRA project.
The scope of this deliverable is three-fold:
• Firstly to introduce and provide a background to the IT (Information Technology) tools that might be used for the production of some form of PLCS (Product Lifecycle Support System) via an analysis of advanced tools for PLCS, namely Product Lifecycle Mangement Systems, Product Data Management and Expert Systems. Together with these analyses tables listing some of the tools relevant to the production of such systems are given. This work is detailed in Section 2.
• Secondly within Sections 3 and 4 the results of postal market surveys conducted in Malaysia and Thailand are presented and discussed.
• Finally in Section 5 technology implementation guidelines are given to assist Asian SMEs in the several of stages of producing an Intelligent Product Support System (IPSS) or a Computer Based Training System (CBT).
